Auguster D. Williams (Gus) is a US Navy veteran who found his talent as an artist while participating in Veterans Administration’s Art Therapy Programs. His first work won the 2018 National Veterans Creative Arts Award in the collage category. A member of the Peekskill Arts Alliance, he has exhibited as part of the Peekskill Open Studios event in Peekskill, NY. Newburgh Open Studios and Gritworks Gallery both in Newburgh, NY. His most recent exhibits are “A Toast To The Boogie: Art In The Name of Funk(adelic)” with the DC Commission on the Arts and Humanities and “Just Above My Head” at the Art of Noize Gallery in Washington, DC.
